La Guarida

Havana’s most famous paladar and deservedly so. Expect a spectacular setting over several floors in the middle of a humble neighbourhood in Centro Havana. The contrast is enchanting. Great cooking, albeit fairly concervative. Wonderful views from the terrace, old world interior and great service.

The internationally successfull Fresas y Chocolate was filmed here in the 90’s, “the special period”. The list of famous people having dined here is long and includes Beyonce, Madonna, Kevin Spacey and Sting. 

Be aware that the menu is not the same on the terrace/bar as in the restaurant itself. So book in the restaurant and then have a drink on the terrace before and/or after. A spectacular place to enjoy the sunset. 

This is not a restaurant where you just turn up. Always book.
